Vintage pine blanket box

Vintage pine blanket box lovely aged look some minor repairs over its life probably 70 years plus old ! Would make a fantastic coffee table or decorative item

Origin

Evolution
Over time, drawers were added to the basic blanket box design, creating a new piece of furniture called the mule chest. The drawers in the mule chest were used to store slippers, which colonists called "mules".

Blanket chests were commonly made from pine, but could also be made from walnut or mahogany.
