Victorian era

Hobnail glass was originally called "Dew Drop" glass and was often made in translucent colors. Lemonade sets with matching glasses were common.

The Fenton Art Glass Company introduced their hobnail glass in translucent colors, and later in white milk glass.

1940s–1950s

Hobnail glass was a popular decorative pattern in homes, and was a key part of mid-century modern decor.

1980s

Hobnail glass was still being produced by some companies.
