Portmeirion Parian Ware Jug British Heritage Collection Pilgrim Family

Although Portmeirion had produced Victorian jugs from Kirkham's moulds back in the 1960's, they revived some of the designs in 1984 with the British Heritage Collection. 
This information possibly dates this Jug as early to mid 80s. 
Created by Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion Village was designed to show how a naturally beautiful site could be developed without spoiling it. Williams-Ellis acquired the site in 1925 and worked to complete his grand vision over the next 50 years, completing the Village as we know it today in 1976.
Clough hoped that his creation would inspire others.
Made famous by the TV program the prisoner starring Patrick McGoohan not only starred as Number Six, the leading role in The Prisoner, he was also the creator and driving force behind the 17 episode series.
15 cm tall 10 cm wide at base 
Portmeirion developed a new technique in which they produced the old Parian porcelain, in which some of the old Victorian jugs had been manufactured. This had a matt, bisque-type surface rather than a highly glazed finish, which was capable of preserving the fine modelling from the original moulds.
