Vintage early 20th century glaxo laboratories ostocalcium tablets tin rare!! This amazing small tin 9 cm wide 5 cm depth 2 cm tall some age related wear would have once held  Ostocalcium Tablets, which are supplements containing Vitamin D and calcium, manufactured by Glaxo Laboratories Ltd. The label indicates that each tablet contains Vitamin D (Calciferol) 600 international units, calcium sodium lactate, and calcium phosphate, among other excipients. Ostocalcium is used to support bone health and prevent conditions like osteoporosis. The dosage instructions suggest adults can take 2 to 3 tablets and children 1 to 2 tablets, three times daily or as directed by a physician. The tablets can be swallowed whole, chewed, or dissolved in milk or water. 
Glaxo's first pharma product
They sold it as Ostelin - their first pharmaceutical product. The research side of the business grew and in 1935 a subsidiary company, Glaxo Laboratories Ltd was established. By 1947 Glaxo had surpassed its parent in terms of sales and product range and bought out Joseph Nathan & Co.
