Antique Victorian Moustache spoon marked HF&S date mark A in a shield possibly Harrison Fisher Active at 70 Trafalgar Street (1897 - 1899) and Surrey Lane, Wellington Street and 9 Eyre Lane (1900 - 1925), Sheffield. Became Harrison Fisher & Co in 1900. The firm ceased the manufacture of electroplated wares in 1925 but continued the trade. lomas's patent with a lovely engraved initials. 18 cm long - more information to follow. In 1873, Ellen B. A. Mitcheson of Philadelphia submitted this patent for an improvement on mustache spoons. Her idea was to add a piece of metal to a regular spoon that allowed the liquid to move through the spoon into the mouth without making contact with the moustache.
